We’ll explore successful planting projects across our community, meet local experts, and learn about the challenges faced in creating thriving green spaces. From tree-lined streets to vibrant parks, this tour showcases the power of collective effort.

Date and Time: Wednesday July 31st, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Meeting Point: Southwest Park (1155 S Rock Hill Rd)
Transport: Bus provided (or bring your own vehicle if preferred)
Duration: Approximately 2.5 hours

Highlights:
Urban Forest Revival: Visit several city parks and learn how volunteers transformed barren sidewalks into lush green corridors. Discover the species planted, their growth progress, and the positive impact on air quality. Sites vary in age and location- so this will be a great opportunity to see our trees at 1, 3, 5, and 15 years out from the nursery
Interactive Sessions: At each stop, engage with experts and community members who will share insights into successful planting techniques, community engagement, and long-term sustainability efforts.
Impact in action: We’ll get to see first hand how our efforts in the nursery have translated to healthy forest canopy, appreciate the challenges faced in maintaining our green spaces and connect with fellow volunteers and community members.
