Forest ReLeaf of Missouri’s TreeKeepers classes, sponsored in part by the Missouri Department of Conservation is an annual, free, six week course educates citizens about trees, their benefits and care, and provides practical, hands-on learning in six key areas: identification, biology, soils, planting, pruning, and insects and diseases.
This year’s course will take place on Wednesday’s from October 6 through November 10 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Urban Chestnut Brewery in the Grove. On October 13, participants will meet at the Jewel Box in Forest Park at 5:00 p.m. and arrive at Urban Chestnut at 6:30 p.m. for the second half of the class. No prior experience required. Registration is free, however, graduates are asked to provide 24 hours of volunteer service to Forest ReLeaf or in forestry-related projects in their community.
