Pruning at Penrose Park

In 2020, in Partnership with Better Family Life we planted 30 trees in Penrose Park as part of a day of healing for families who lost loved ones to gun violence. As part of their final year of Stewardship, we’re seeking volunteers to work with Forest ReLeaf of Missouri’s Forestry manager, Billy, to prune these trees and help them grow in the right direction.
Pruning will go from roughly 9-12 and begin with an overview of pruning best practices followed by hands on demonstration. Training and tools will be provided.
Be sure to dress warmly for the weather!
