Join us in caring for trees planted in Beckett Park honoring 25 families and their loved ones who were lost to gun violence. These trees will provide shade and shelter to the park’s playground, path, and baseball field and act as a visible reminder of the community’s commitment to growth and healing.

WHERE: Beckett Park is located at 1200-1246 North Taylor Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63113. Best parking will be along Cook Ave. just south of Beckett Park.

WHEN: Saturday morning from 10:00am to 12:00pm

WHAT TO WEAR/BRING: Volunteers are asked to bring a water bottle and wear long sleeve shirts, long pants, and closed toed shoes that are appropriate for digging. Keep in mind you will get dirty! All tools (rakes, hand tools, and pitch forks) needed to care for trees, gloves, and snacks will be provided.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Events are held rain or shine. Upon checking in at the volunteer table, you will be asked to sign a liability waiver. Following opening remarks, we will provide training on how to properly mulch and care for trees. Staff will be on hand throughout the event to guide you on tree care and answer questions. Expect to weed, mulch, and get your hands dirty!

PETS: We love pets, but for their safety and the safety of others, please leave them at home when you are volunteering at tree events.

Thank you for helping expand our precious tree canopy & for making our community a better place! We are grateful for your support and are counting on your help!
